The empowered group of ministers on the AI-Indian merger met on Monday and has now deferred any decisions for at least eight to ten days when it will meet again.
Aviation Minister Praful Patel will also meanwhile meet employees of both airlines to sort out HR issues. The minister said the government would honour the March 31 deadline for the merger.
He also added that there is a broad consensus already on most issues.
